Jokes aside, finance software is one of the few areas where I actually understand the appeal of strict structure. Prices, balances, orders, risk checks, API responses - if any of that gets messy, users feel it immediately.

Not from a trading advice angle, more as a web product. Crypto platforms are basically real-time data UIs, and the good ones need boring things done well: clear state, readable numbers, fast pages, fewer surprises. Maybe not as elegant as Haskell, but at least the user should not need type theory to understand their balance.
